From the makers of the open-source project Quran.com comes Quran for Android and iOS. It’s an ad-free mushaf app, they support Madani images, and have a beautiful and smooth page transition effect. The app offers bookmarking and tagging of an unlimited number of pages. We found that the Quran by Qur’an.com app has by far the largest collection of translation and tafsir resources

The Quran Pro app has the biggest collection of audio reciters that we found in a mushaf application. They offer translation in 30 different languages, allow you to bookmark specific ayahs or pages, and it works completely offline. Users on iOS devices will have also have support for AirPlay and CarPlay.

3. Tarteel — voice search the Quran

Tarteel offers a unique set of features based on voice recognition. Tarteel allows you to search the Quran by reciting a full or part of a verse. It also allows you to view the surah name, ayah number, as well as the English translation and transliteration of that verse. The app developers plan on adding recitation correction in the future.

Quran Kareem is a pro bono app with no ads or premium upgrades that offers a smooth reading experience and support for 40+ language translations. We found that it has the best experience scrolling between pages and fun animations throughout using the app. The biggest drawback we found is that the app is only available on iOS, but the developers mentioned that they plan on bringing it to Android soon.

Al Quran Tafsir and by word is a Quran study tool. It provides verse by verse audio playback with repeat functions, Tafsir Ibn Kathir, color-coded tajweed, word by word analysis and translations, note-taking & custom bookmarks with sync, multiple themes, and fonts.
